NITA-U Hosts Hon. Rose Namayanja at Exquisite Solutions in Namanve



As part of its efforts to promote Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) in Uganda, the National Information Technology Authority Uganda (NITA-U) welcomed a delegation from Greater Luwero led by Hon. Rose Namayanja on a guided tour of the Exquisite Solutions located in Namanve Industrial Park.

The delegation, which included the Resident District Commissioner (RDC) of Luwero, Mr. Richard Bwabye, and other officials, visited the hub to gain insights into the operations of BPO centers supported by NITA-U.
The Government of Uganda has recognized Information Technology Enabled Services–Business Process Outsourcing (ITES-BPO) as a key driver for economic growth and a solution to youth unemployment. The purpose of the visit was
to introduce local leaders from Luwero to the concept of BPOs and explore the potential for establishing similar centers in the region.

In her address, Hon. Rose Namayanja, the NRM Deputy Secretary General, reaffirmed the government’s commitment to growing the BPO sector. She emphasized the importance of establishing regional BPO centres to combat unemployment and revealed that Luwero District Local Government, in collaboration with NITA-U, is in the process of setting up a BPO center in Luwero town.
Speaking to the delegation, Mr. Michael Newman, the Portfolio and Investment Mr. Steven Kwesiga, the General Manager of Exquisite Solutions, expressed his gratitude to the Government of Uganda, particularly the Ministry of ICT & National Guidance, for their support of the BPO sector. He also acknowledged NITA-U for the technical
assistance and incentives provided to the hub, which have been crucial to its success.

environment that fosters investment and growth in Uganda’s BPO industry
