NITA-U Annual Report 2012/2013

This Annual Report presents performance of NITA-U for the Financial Year 2012/13, which spans from 1st
July 2012 to 30th June 2013. Structurally, this Annual Report is split into four sections;
Section 1: of the report gives the back ground,mandate, functions and governance structures of NITA-U. This section also gives the strategic direction for the Authority and priorities over the
medium term.

 

Section 2: contains the physical performance of NITA-U.

 

Section 3: covers the financial performance of the Authority.

 

Section 4: covers the challenges of the Authority and priorities for the medium term

The National Information Technology Authority – Uganda (NITA-U) is the government agency mandated to coordinate, promote and monitor information technology development in Uganda, in line with national social and economic goals. We run the National Backbone Infrastructure, the National Data Centre, UGPass and UGHub, certify IT service providers, and host the Personal Data Protection Office.
