Firewall as a Service (FWaaS)
A centrally managed, cloud-based security service that protects MDA networks from cyber threats and unauthorised access. Each MDA receives a dedicated firewall instance hosted by NITA-U, with strong protection, network visibility and secure remote access, and no hardware to buy or maintain.

The National Information Technology Authority – Uganda (NITA-U) is the government agency mandated to coordinate, promote and monitor information technology development in Uganda, in line with national social and economic goals. We run the National Backbone Infrastructure, the National Data Centre, UGPass and UGHub, certify IT service providers, and host the Personal Data Protection Office.
